Our client is an Australian solutions company that supports thousands of distributors.
They are now looking to hire a Settlements Officer to support their finance team in processing settlements, ensuring accuracy in financial agreements, and coordinating with lenders.
Job Responsibilities
* Process and finalise finance settlements efficiently and accurately.
* Liaise with lenders, clients, and internal teams to ensure a smooth settlement process.
* Manage and track settlement transactions through COG – Settlement Portal.
* Review and verify financial agreements and contracts for accuracy and compliance.
* Coordinate with clients to retrieve required documentation for finance processing.
* Conduct background checks and ensure all settlement conditions are met.
* Maintain and update financial records, reports, and Excel spreadsheets.
* Handle customer inquiries, providing professional and timely support.
* Work closely with sales teams, understanding the role's connection to the sales process.
* Assist in process improvements and proactively manage settlement pipeline
Qualifications
* 6 months – 2 years of settlement experience in finance, banking, or a related field.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Experience dealing with lenders is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting.
* Excellent verbal communication skills, with clear pronunciation and good pacing.
* Customer service experience with the ability to build rapport quickly.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple transactions efficiently.
* Familiarity with financial agreements, contracts, and loan calculators.
* Willingness to work an additional day on the weekend if the last day of the month falls on a weekend.
* Must have a stable internet connection
