Support Youth to Build Skills and Strengths
Kirinari seeks Support Workers to provide individualized care for children and young people residing in our out-of-home-care homes.
Young people have experienced childhood trauma, abuse or neglect and may have a mental health, physical or psychosocial disability. We're looking for resilient team members who can support young people to build skills and strengths within a therapeutic model of care to provide safety and empowerment.
The overall responsibilities of Support Workers are to provide direct person-centered support and care to young people who reside in our homes, ensuring their individual needs are met. Support Workers provide crisis intervention and ongoing support, maintain a safe and welcoming home environment, and empower young people to develop skills which support them to live a good life within their local community.
We require applicants with qualifications in Community Services, Residential Care, Welfare or related areas (Cert IV) and previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma. Ability to obtain NDIS Workers Screening Check prior to commencement is also required.
