Outstanding prospects exist for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to join a dynamic team at a private hospital in Shepparton. This is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE POSITION
A Recovery Registered Nurse is providing critical care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical or other invasive procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring patients' vital signs, consciousness levels, and surgical sites immediately following surgery or procedures;
* Providing airway management, oxygen therapy, and pain/nausea control as needed;
* Assessing post-anesthesia recovery progress and responding to any changes in condition;
* Collaborating with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality post-operative care;
* Administering medications as ordered and documenting patient responses;
* Ensuring adherence to infection control and safety standards;
* Maintaining accurate and timely documentation using electronic health records.
REQUIREMENTS
You will need to have the following:
* Minimum of two years’ experience in an acute care hospital environment;
* Minimum of 1 year of experience within the Recovery or PACU;
* Available to work across a 7-day rotating roster and take part in on-call duties;
* Any postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

REMUNERATION
$36.13 - $ 49.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

The hospital, located in beautiful Goulburn Valley, is an acute surgical and medical 69-bed facility. The hospital has 3 fully equipped Operating Theatres, a High Dependency Unit, and a Day Procedure Unit. The hospital is equipped with advanced medical, surgical, and diagnostic technology.
