Construction Supervisor – Civil & Earthworks

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor for our client reporting directly to the Superintendent Construction. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of contractor performance and ensure critical civil projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
About the Projects
You will be overseeing a range of civil and earthworks projects including:
* Construction of drainage channels and flood bunds at pit
* Comms tower pad construction and installation
* Road works
* Underground dewatering pipe installation
* HV electrical cable trenching and directional drilling
This is a high-visibility project with real operational impact.
About the Role
As Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing business partners (contractors) across site to ensure all activities are completed safely, on schedule and to quality expectations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Demonstrating strong, visible safety leadership and promoting a zero-harm culture
* Spending time in the field ensuring hazards are identified and effective controls are in place
* Ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and understood by all contractor personnel
* Managing safety incidents, including reporting, investigation and follow-up actions
* Coordinating contractor site mobilisation in line with pre-mobilisation requirements
* Supervising contractors and subcontractors to ensure technical and quality standards are met (including ITPs and MDR compilation)
* Monitoring progress and reporting actual work completed against schedule
About You You will bring a strong background in civil or earthworks supervision, ideally within a mining or heavy industry environment. You are practical, proactive, and confident leading contractors in a fast-paced site setting.
You will also have:
* Proven experience supervising civil construction projects
* Strong safety leadership and incident management skills
* The ability to manage multiple contractors and work fronts
* Solid understanding of quality systems and construction documentation
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
