Our Field Research Officers play a vital role in collecting accurate, high-quality data that informs government, business, and community decisions across the country. What you'll do Visit assigned households and confidently initiate conversations at the door Build rapport quickly, manage refusals and objections respectfully, and ensure informed consent Conduct accurate, structured interviews on a wide range of topics Record observations, follow safety and privacy protocols, and maintain strict confidentiality Plan your weekly schedule to meet agreed hours, including at least one weekend day All interviews are conducted using Roy Morgan's secure systems. We provide full training, a clear field manual, and ongoing support from experienced field managers. Empathetic communicator : You listen well, handle sensitive topics with care, and adapt your style to suit different households. Organised self-starter : You manage your time, plan routes, keep tidy records, and meet targets without constant supervision. Tech-comfortable : You're confident with tablets and following on-screen scripts/protocols. Nice-to-have: experience in field interviewing, door-to-door outreach, call centre/customer service, community work, or education services.
