What this opportunity involves.
We're looking for a personable, professional, and proactive Facilities Manager to join our successful team. In this diverse role, you will be managing a well-recognised asset in the heart of Chatswood.
You'll maintain a focus on all related engineering and facilities management tasks, from contractor management, procedures and risk management, statutory compliance management, sustainability as well as driving capital projects.
Relationship building across all levels is important, as you'll be the key point of contact between tenants and contractors.
A snapshot of the role.
Managing compliance with all relevant statutory authorities
Driving sustainability performance of the assets to ensure NABERS energy and water targets are achieved
Ensuring everything in the buildings are compliant with current legislation (lifts, escalators, pressure vessels, cooling towers)
Coordinating efficient management of all property services and other works required to be carried out within the asset
Undertaking periodic inspections of the buildings and plant to determine the extent, and priority of any repair works required
Ongoing management of all specialist contractors to ensure they comply with their contract terms and conditions and nominated scope of works
Managing engineering and building maintenance contracts for all critical and non-critical services in the building. Periodically review the service agreement and initiate tender in coordination with JLL procurement team for contract renewal and new service agreements
Supervising tenancy fit out works and make good for the tenancies
Project Management/ upgrade works within the building
You will have proven facilities management experience in a commercial, industrial or retail environment and you're ready to push your career forward working on a great asset with great client.
A passion and understanding of sustainability is required and you have a good knowledge of property systems including familiarity with building services software procedures and knowledge of occupational health & safety legislation and requirements.
Excellent communication skills are essential
- both written and spoken - and we'll expect you to work independently, multi-task, and manage your time to meet deadlines.
