Our Brisbane office is looking for committed hydrogeologists across all career levels to join our growing team and portfolio. About the Role:

We are currently expanding our Water Resources team based in Brisbane, QLD and are seeking a Senior/Associate Hydrogeologist on a permanent full-time basis.

Working with our well-experienced civil, geotechnical, water, and tailings groups, you will be a key team member successfully delivering projects to meet and exceed our clients' expectations while driving your career to new heights.

Key responsibilities and activities include:

* Lead and contribute to hydrogeological assessments, including groundwater impact studies, flow/seepage modelling, and water quality analysis.
* Provide data analysis and conceptualisation support for hydrogeological projects.
* Collaborate and define technical direction from senior staff and operate with a level of autonomy in completing directed tasks
* Engage in regulatory compliance reviews, ensuring environmental approvals align with Australian groundwater legislation.
* Develop and oversee hydrogeological field programs, including borehole drilling, aquifer testing, and monitoring system design.
* Manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations while maintaining technical excellence and safety standards.
* Provide leadership in project management, technical oversight, and business development within the Water Resources team
* Support staff through mentoring, coaching, and technical review, ensuring high-quality project deliverables.
* Collaborate across disciplines, working with civil, geotechnical, water, and tailings teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions for mining, resources, and energy sectors.
* Drive business development, assisting with proposal writing and contributing to delivery of the Water Resources strategy.
* Some travel and site work may be required intermittently.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill requirements include:

* Technical proficiency in hydrogeology, including expertise in groundwater hydrology, hydraulics, and numerical modelling (e.g., MODFLOW).
* Strong data analysis and management skills, with experience in hydrogeochemical assessments and contaminant transport analysis.
* Proven ability to interpret complex hydrogeological data, translating findings into actionable recommendations.
* Experience delivering hydrogeological assessments within the mining, construction, energy, and environmental sectors.
* Familiarity with Australian groundwater legislation and regulatory compliance frameworks.
* Strong project management skills, including scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
* Excellent report writing and proposal preparation abilities, with strong verbal communication for client engagement.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration across departments.
* Applied geochemistry, water chemistry, or water quality assessments would be highly regarded but are not essential.
* Experience in mine water hydrology and management would be highly regarded but is not essential.
* Membership in a professional body, actively working toward relevant chartership.
