About the Role
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Processing: Timely and accurate payroll processing for full-time, part-time, casual staff, and contractors.
* Tax Compliance: Handle PAYG withholding, superannuation contributions, and other deductions in line with Australian tax laws.
* Leave Management: Maintain leave balances and process requests including annual, personal, and public holidays.
* Superannuation: Ensure accurate SG contributions and compliance.
* Reporting: Generate payroll reports including payslips and summaries for stakeholders.
* Employee Support: Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries efficiently.
* Compliance & Documentation: Stay up to date with relevant legislation (Fair Work, Modern Awards, etc.).
* Record Keeping: Securely maintain all payroll documentation.
* Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide general support to the Payroll Manager as required.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
* Education: Certificate or qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
* Skills & Attributes: Strong knowledge of Australian payroll/tax legislation, proficiency in payroll software, meticulous attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and team player with the ability to work independently.
Hours: Flexible part-time hours (approx. 16–24 hours per week). Days negotiable to suit the right candidate.
Location: Primarily based at our Silverwater office, with occasional work-from-Pemulwuy arrangements.
