Library/tourism/event officer

Pay: $44 per hour (incl. casual loading)

Cloncurry Shire Council invites applications for a casual Library/Tourism/Events Officer to support the Community Services Team across key cultural and tourism facilities, including the Bob McDonald Library, Dr David Harvey‐Sutton Gallery, Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre and Museum, and John Flynn Place Museum and Art Gallery.

• Assist patrons with library services
• Promote local attractions
• Manage visitor information
• Handle retail and cash transactions
• Maintain museum and library spaces
• Support event coordination and venue administration
• Deliver customer service and create a welcoming environment for all visitors

• Strong communication skills
• Passion for tourism and local history
• Interest in library services

Offer training opportunities in reception and event support, with hands‐on experience in community service delivery.
