About the Role
We are seeking a warm, organised and professional Medical Secretary to join our General Medicine team within the Acute and Urgent Care Program. In this key role, you'll provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department. Using a collaborative, team-based approach, you'll help coordinate daily workloads, manage confidential information, and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively will be essential as you liaise with hospital departments and staff to support patient care and departmental operations.
As a trusted member of the team, you'll also take the lead on more complex administrative duties, assist in resolving challenges as they arise, and offer support and guidance to less experienced colleagues. Your attention to detail, proactive approach, and understanding of hospital priorities will contribute greatly to the efficiency and success of the department. If you're someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy and meaningful environment, we'd love for you to be part of our supportive team.
About You
You are a confident and capable administrative professional who thrives in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment. With strong communication skills, a high level of initiative, and a commitment to excellent service, you're ready to provide vital support to a multidisciplinary team in General Medicine.
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure, with excellent planning, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to quality service and working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
