Job Description

Are you a talented and passionate chef who loves starting the day with exceptional breakfast dishes? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, friendly environment where quality and customer satisfaction come first?

Mercure Newcastle is seeking a Full Time Breakfast Chef to join tour small kitchen team.

As our full-time Breakfast Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a diverse range of breakfast dishes, from traditional full hot breakfast to healthier and continental choices. You will manage the kitchen breakfast section efficiently, ensuring food is prepared on time, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

* Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffetshowing variety and flair
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Chef is required to wash all dishes during service
* Assist with inhouse functions, restaurant and cafe food as required
* Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.Report any problems to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager.
Qualifications

Your Skills and experience include:

* Experiencein buffet breakfast service preferred
* Deliver consistent, high quality food while maintaining set food cost
* Work in conjunction with service teams to ensure quality product and service to guests
* Have great communication skills & a positive attitude
* Have excellent planning and organisational skills
* Have willingness to learn and go above and beyond for our guests
