About Department
Berengarra, a new multi storey 90 bed state of the art residential aged care facility comprises 60 mainstream and 30 Aged Persons' Mental Health (APMH) beds designed to deliver contemporary best practice person centered care. Berengarra compliments a suite of existing St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne's residential facilities.

About the Role
You will perform a range of support services for our aged care residents, working as part of a team to deliver best practice care in line with the organisations policies and procedures. You will be responsible for the delivery of efficient and customer focused cleaning services across the facility. Your primary cleaning focus will the general/staff and public areas, maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene. You will also be required to support the Housekeeper and Food Services teams from time to time, in the delivery of food services and laundry duties. All duties are to be carried out within appropriate legislative standards to ensure the safety and welfare of the residents.
Part time position is for 28 hrs per week
Classifications for this position will be IN18
Duties
Cleaning within our public/staff areas bathrooms/living/ dining and communal areas, maintaining the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and steam cleaning of floors, detail dusting, glass cleaning, and kitchen cleaning to support continued compliance to Infection Control and Food Safety Standards across all areas of the facility
Assisting in the ongoing tidiness of all public areas including assisting with linen replacement
Transportation and movement of equipment and stock across the facility as required
Assist the Laundry assistant in managing the washing, drying, pressing, folding and return of resident laundry as required, and assist the Housekeeper as required to support quality and efficient service to residents including support with food service activities if required
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Previous experience in cleaning (commercial or aged care setting)
Food Handlers Certificate HLTFSE – 001 (or willing to complete)
Demonstrated ability to fulfil all physical aspects of the position
Current and satisfactory NDIS Check
Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience in a hospital or residential facility is highly desirable
Being a part of a collaborative and passionate team
