Systems Engineer - Level 3
Pay: $72/hr + super
Location: Inner Western Suburbs (multiple sites)
Employment Type: 6-month temporary contract, 3 days per week (Mon-Wed), 8:30am-5:30pm
Tradewind Australia is partnering with a respected community-focused organisation in Melbourne's inner west to recruit an experienced Level 3 Systems Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-level technical support, deliver key IT projects and strengthen systems capability across multiple sites during a period of significant operational need.
About the Role
As the Level 3 Systems Engineer, you will provide advanced technical support while delivering a range of ongoing and upcoming IT projects. You will work closely with the IT Services Manager and external service providers, supporting current priorities including Essential 8 compliance, remote monitoring system implementation and broader infrastructure upgrades.
You will play a key role in stabilising on-site IT operations while external providers face staffing shortages, ensuring continuity, reliability and high-quality technical support across all service sites in the inner west.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver Level 3 technical support across multiple sites in the inner west
* Lead and support ongoing IT projects, including Essential 8 compliance
* Research and implement remote monitoring and management (IRM) systems
* Collaborate with external Level 3 IT providers and internal staff
* Provide guidance, support and technical escalation for internal team members
* Ensure system stability, security and operational efficiency
* Contribute to documentation, reporting and IT process improvement initiatives
What You'll Bring
Essential
* Degree in IT, Computer Science or related discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Level 3 technical role
* Strong experience across systems engineering, project delivery and advanced troubleshooting
* Ability to work autonomously across multiple on-site locations
* Organised, proactive and highly reliable
* Current Driver Licence and access to a car
Desirable
* Experience in not-for-profit or community-based organisations
* Exposure to Essential 8 compliance, monitoring systems or multi-site operations
* Ability to mentor and support internal IT staff
