**About the role**
**CBUS Super has opportunities for 3 Insurance Claims Specialists, for an initial 6 month engagement.**
As an Insurance Specialist at Cbus, you play an important role in the shaping and determination of claims decisions made by the Trustee. This role will be considered a technical expert and will be expected to provide expertise and support to the Claims Assessment team.
Reporting to our Manager, Claims Assessment this role will manage a range of declined claims within the timeframes set by the Insurance Code of Practice as well as prepare and present declined claims at the Denied Review Committee meeting. You'll get to review insurer IP, TPD, TI, claim decisions in line with the insurance policy and ensure that the decision is a fair and reasonable outcome for the member. This role will also see you determine TPD approvals under Trustee Delegate authority and within the parameters of the insurance policy, SIS and Tax regulations.
To be successful in this role we're looking for experienced and self-motivated RG146 Qualified professionals that have strong claims assessment experience in TPD, TI, PI and Death claims - having worked directly for an Insurer or a Superannuation Fund. You have a well-developed understanding of claims, insurance and benefits, with a passion for working in the best interest of the member/customer. Personally, you're an exceptional communicator, being able to manage relationships internally and with our Insurer and Administration partner.
