About Cadia

Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method. We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience for our Indigenous employees. As a residential (drive-in / drive-out) mine, Cadia values community deeply, offering both financial and in-kind support to organizations across Blayney, Cabonne, and Orange townships. The Orange region is often referred to as the gateway to Country New South Wales with acclaimed wineries, fine dining, annual festivals and charming heritage villages making for an unparalleled work-life balance.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Advisor Maintenance to support safe, compliant and cost‐efficient delivery of non‐processing infrastructure across Cadia. This is a key site-wide role providing technical coordination, governance and oversight of lifting & rigging, scaffolding, fire systems, fuel facilities, air compressors and general ancillary maintenance activities. You will act as the central point of contact between planners, supervisors, contractors and asset teams to ensure work is correctly scoped, approved, executed and documented.

Responsibilities

* Coordinate pre‐lift inspections, CraneSafe certifications, scaffold audits and associated documentation
* Maintain and audit lifting, rigging, scaffold and anchor point registers in line with Australian Standards
* Act as the primary site contact for ancillary non‐processing infrastructure maintenance activities
* Build and review maintenance work packs with planners and supervisors to minimise rework and control cost
* Monitor contractor performance across scaffolding and crane services, escalating safety, statutory or commercial risks early
* Support outage and shutdown preparation, execution and improvement initiatives
* Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and contractor delivery

Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in surface fixed plant or ancillary maintenance within mining or heavy industry
* Strong knowledge of lifting & rigging, scaffolding systems and statutory compliance
* Proven ability to coordinate contractors and interface with multiple stakeholders
* Well‐developed planning, organisational and analytical skills
* Leadership capability with experience influencing safe work behaviours
* Working knowledge of maintenance systems, SAP cost reporting and Gantt-based planning
* Behaviours aligned with Newmont values, with a visible commitment to safety leadership

This is a residential, Monday to Friday role offering a 9‐day fortnight option. Standard working hours are 6:00am to 3:00pm, with flexibility required during outages and critical works. Unrestricted Australian working rights are essential.

At Newmont, our commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that everyone can work to their full potential, free from discrimination, while respecting the cultures, religions, and governance of the regions in which we operate. Guided by our values of Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Responsibility, and Inclusion, we believe in the strength of our people and the positive impact we can create together.

Newmont employees are rewarded with a competitive salary, flexible packaging options, and programs that recognize those who go above and beyond. We know no candidate meets every qualification listed, so if you share our values and feel you can make a meaningful contribution, we encourage you to apply – we'd love to hear from you!
