Mortgage Broker Support / Loan Processor - Remote/Hybrid

$70,000 – $80,000 per year + half yearly bonuses

Job Title: Mortgage Broker Support – Full-Time Role - Remote/Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, full-time professional to join our boutique, independent Mortgage Brokerage in South Melbourne. In this permanent position, you will work closely with a team of experienced mortgage brokers, with over 40 years of combined industry experience. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive, dynamic environment where you will play a key role in providing top-notch customer service and ensuring seamless follow-up on client inquiries.

As a Mortgage Broker Support, you will assist in managing the loan application process, ensuring smooth communication between clients, lenders, and other key stakeholders. The role requires a sharp eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and polished communication skills. Strong time management and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively are essential to maintaining efficiency and meeting deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Liaison: Communicate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth, end-to-end process from the initial enquiry through to loan settlement. Provide clear updates and set realistic expectations for clients throughout the process.

Loan Application Management: Guide clients through the loan application process, from broker handover to loan approval and post-settlement. Ensure all necessary documentation is collected, processed, and submitted promptly.

Product Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of lender policies and the mortgage products available. Offer relevant guidance to clients regarding product selection, ensuring they understand the terms and conditions.

Data Entry & CRM Management: Accurately enter client data into CRM systems and assist with the use of various software applications to support the brokers. Maintain organised and up-to-date client records.

Operational Support: Assist with a range of operational tasks such as discharges, pricing, policy updates, and servicing to ensure that processes run smoothly and client needs are addressed quickly.

What We're Looking For:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, and/or previous experience working within another mortgage brokerage.

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is a must, as you'll be responsible for ensuring all client documentation and data are processed accurately. You'll need to spot discrepancies and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills are essential as you'll be managing multiple client applications and dealing with several stakeholders at once. You'll need to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay on top of all tasks.

Client-Focused: A client-first attitude with a positive, can-do approach and a keen interest in understanding the "why" behind daily operations in the broking industry. You'll be committed to providing clear, reliable communication and ensuring an excellent client experience.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to set realistic client expectations and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Data-Driven Mindset: The ability to accurately gather, process, and interpret client information. A strong eye for detail will ensure high-quality results and smooth operations.

Tech-Savvy: You'll need to be comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new software applications. Experience with AFG, Flex and ApplyOnline preferred but not required.

Team Player: Although this is an individual contributor role, you will work closely with the team of brokers. A collaborative attitude and willingness to help out where needed will be highly valued.
