To provide the Respiratory patients of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service with best practice pharmaceutical care in accordance with their needs and the policies and priorities of the Health Service. The common objective of the Pharmacy Service is that patients derive maximum benefit from medications whilst being exposed to minimum risk.
Key Responsibilities include:
The Pharmacist Senior (Respiratory) position is a non-rotational position and will function as part of a team of pharmacists providing services to Respiratory patients within the Pharmacy Services of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Exercise independent clinical judgement in providing accurate patient medication history interviews, clinical medication reviews, and formulation of pharmaceutical care plans utilising high-level knowledge and clinical skills, including the provision of advice to medical, nursing, pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.
An expectation of this position is to support the Pharmacist Advanced Specialty Services Team Leader in all Medication Management initiatives and to assist in the development of continuous quality improvement activities to ensure optimum patient medication safety.
Provide advice and assistance as required to subordinate staff and line management regarding the management of clinical work practices, distribution, dispensing, production, and quality assurance as it relates to pharmaceutical services in their area of responsibility.
Remuneration value up to $78 679 p.a, comprising salary rates $ $69.55 p.h., (part time, 45.6 hrs p.f.), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (part time position 38 hrs p.f.).
