Job Title:

Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities

A fulfilling role is available for a Schools Officer, Grounds and Facilities to join our team. As a member of our school community, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

About the Role:

This OO2 progression position is seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual who can work effectively as a member of our team. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met.

The responsibilities of this role include a range of day-to-day activities, such as preparing activities, assembly halls, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for a range of day to day activities that may include preparing activities, assembly halls, including moving/arranging furniture and seating; removing
and relocating furniture from room to room.
2. Stocktaking and recording/engraving of school equipment/furniture and assets.
3. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment; safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuels; bring to appropriate attention any safety hazards; manage equipment records; and maintain tools and equipment for repair services.
4. Attend to/or arrange repairs and maintenance within the school.
5. Communicate and discuss with Principal/Business Manager or nominated delegate on matters regarding periodic maintenance of facilities/grounds.

Requirements:
