**Your new role**
As a Communications Advisor at an AS05 level, you will play a key role in supporting the department's communication efforts. This 3-month role, with a potential for extension, requires immediate availability and a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Your responsibilities will include crafting engaging and informative content, coordinating communication campaigns, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting with basic web maintenance and changes in collaboration with a web company.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Immediate availability: You must be ready to commence work immediately upon selection.
- Full-time commitment: The role requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week for the duration of the assignment.
- DHS WWCC: A valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working With Children Check (WWCC) is essential.
- Web experience: Previous experience working with web platforms, content management systems (CMS), or web-related projects is highly desirable. This experience will enable you to collaborate effectively with the web company and contribute to basic web maintenance and changes.
- Excellent writing skills: Strong written communication skills are essential for creating compelling content across various channels, such as websites, social media, and newsletters.
- Government experience: Prior experience working in a government environment, particularly in communications or related roles, would be highly advantageous. Familiarity with government protocols and procedures is desirable.
