The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead a high-performing function within a large, complex organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide financial performance, delivering best-in-class planning, forecasting, and insights, and leading a significant transformation agenda.
You will play a critical role in shaping business strategy, embedding a "one business" mindset, and enabling data-driven decision‐making across the organisation.
Leading a team spanning FP&A, business insights, and performance analytics, you will partner closely with senior executives to optimise performance, identify opportunities, and drive sustainable growth.
* Lead enterprise-wide business performance and transformation initiatives
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation
* Oversee complex, multi-stream programs ensuring alignment, delivery, and measurable outcomes
* Identify and implement initiatives to enhance operational and financial performance
* Own the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
* Deliver high-quality, timely, and insightful reporting to executive leadership and Board
* Embed a "no surprises" approach to financial performance and forecasting accuracy
* Leverage data, analytics, and automation to elevate decision-making capability
* Ensure alignment across FP&A, Corporate Finance, and Strategy functions
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the business
* Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights
* Influence strategic decisions through strong commercial acumen and analytical rigour
* Build strong relationships across operational and corporate functions
* Lead the development of best-in-class data and insights capabilities
* Ensure stakeholders have access to meaningful, real‐time performance metrics
* Drive proactive planning and performance management disciplines
* Champion change management and continuous improvement frameworks
* Build and develop high-performing teams with strong commercial capability
* Coach leaders and teams to uplift financial acumen across the organisation
The Candidate
You are a senior finance leader with a proven track record in FP&A within large, complex environments. You bring a blend of strategic thinking, commercial insight, and transformation experience.
You will demonstrate:
* Extensive experience leading FP&A functions and enterprise planning processes
* Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation or business improvement programs
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
* Experience operating in complex, matrixed organisations
* Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
* A proactive, outcomes-driven mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo
* Strong leadership capability with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams
* Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline
* CA/CPA (or equivalent) highly regarded
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP or similar) and advanced analytics tools
