Shape the Future of Western Sydney Parklife Metro has been awarded the Sydney Metro SSTOM package, a $5 billion Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project that will transform Western Sydney. This major infrastructure package includes: Six brand-new metro stations from St Marys to the new Aerotropolis 12 new metro trains and core rail systems A state-of-the-art maintenance and stabling facility at Orchard Hills As part of the Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild consortium, we're delivering a city-shaping project that will define the future of transport in NSW. The Opportunity - Site engineer We are seeking a experienced Site Engineer. As Site Engineer, your role is to plan and sequence construction activities, track costs, manage subcontractors, interface with design management and construction delivery team. Key Responsibilities Contribute to a safe work culture and ensure works are delivered to legislative and project standards Review and understand construction drawings, specifications and method statements Identify project challenges and drive the development and implementation of solutions Liaise, communicate and plan with the foreman and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes Ensure project delivery is compliant with project standards Ensure works are delivered to quality standards and complete all relevant documentation Participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities. Prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers. Assist in tracking project expenditures to help manage costs and avoid budget overruns Assist in the preparation of daily meetings, weekly reports, 3-week lookahead programs, etc. as required. Monitor the progress and quality of works by conducting inspections, taking photos, and reporting back to the Project Engineer & Senior Project Engineer as necessary. What We're Looking For Preferable 2 - 3 years' experience in a construction/engineering environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills Ability to develop relationships with project personnel and external stakeholders to achieve and maintain a collaborative working environment. Awareness of budgets and timelines A passion for construction Ability to read and interpret plans and have a good understanding and demonstrative experience of civil engineering construction techniques Why Join Us?
