About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a school culture that promotes positive relationships between students and between students and staff, and engaging parents and the wider community in the educational work of the school. The Principal is responsible for being innovative and creative in the establishment of systems and structures to foster academic development and improvements in social and emotional development for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school. They will possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program, particularly the pedagogy of beginning teachers, and building networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community to benefit school programs.
The Principal supports the Department’s objectives for the public education and training of students in Western Australia. The role of the Principal is to lead and manage the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the education of all students in a community through the deployment of resources provided by the Department of Education and the school community.

Students have access to a variety of programs including, Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), numeracy specialist, instrumental music and Cadets-WA River Rangers. Additional support is provided through the chaplaincy program, playgroup and three-year-old learning sessions.
Parents are encouraged to be actively involved in the teaching and learning program through assisting in classrooms, the library, the canteen and uniform shop. Students participate in a breakfast program three days a week and have access to morning tea and lunch if require.
The staff work hard to be caring and nurturing as well as give students the opportunities to learn what the curriculum demands and life dictates. Staff members are committed and diligent in their duties and provide enriched learning experiences for 282 Kindergarten to Year 6 students.
