Overview
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction business that delivers a range of projects across regional WA. Our client is a proudly Western Australian construction specialist with a solid track record of delivering high-quality solutions across the state. Renowned for their hands-on, solution-driven approach, they consistently deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to an exceptional standard. Their integrated capabilities in civil construction underscore their reputation as industry leaders, particularly in the successful delivery of complex and remote projects.
This role is based in Busselton, but our client is open to Metro-based applicants as they have multiple offices across Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on drawings, site information, and specifications
- Support tender preparation, submission, and negotiations
- Identify risks, value engineering, and cost-saving opportunities
- Develop high-quality bid documentation to tight deadlines
- Manage and package subcontractor scopes effectively
- Track actual costs vs. estimates throughout the project
- Confident in first-principles estimating and construction methods
- This role demands the ability to develop estimates from first principles and a deep understanding of construction processes.
About You
- Previous experience in Estimating position within the construction industry
- Solid understanding of construction principles, materials, and methodologies
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent
