Maternal and Child Health Nurse Coordinator: Lead Family-Centred Services
About the Role
The Maternal and Child Health (M&CH) service is a crucial part of our health care system, providing family-centred services to strengthen the wellbeing of children, families, and communities. As a Maternal and Child Health Nurse Coordinator, you will lead a team of nurses in providing high-quality M&CH services across Wellington Shire. Your role will be pivotal in building strong relationships with other agencies and clinicians working with families with young children.
Main Responsibilities
This is a leadership role that requires effective professional leadership and support for the day-to-day management of the service. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading a culture of excellence, ethical conduct, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
* Providing clinical supervision, leadership, and membership.
* Participating in the management and supervision of staff.
* Facilitating student and graduate placements.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Registered nurse & registered midwife holding current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority.
* A Post Graduate Maternal & Child Health qualification.
* Proven experience as a Maternal & Child Health nurse.
* An understanding of and experience in applying the M&CH Key Ages & Stages Framework.
