The Company:

The Role:
Reporting to the Global Planning and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of sea and air freight, ensuring the accurate classification of goods.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Determining the correct Harmonized System (HS) codes for all imported and exported goods
- Reviewing BOM’s, product specifications and intended use to support accurate COO classification decisions
- Maintaining and updating a comprehensive database of product classifications and COO’s and associated calculations
- Preparing and submitting accurate customs documentation to customs brokers/freight forwarders
- Managing customs inquiries, audits, and requests for information; and identifying and mitigating potential customs risks etc
- Coordinating and monitoring the end-to-end movement of goods
- Liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Tracking shipments and providing status updates
- Managing and reconciling shipping documentation, including bills of lading, airway bills, and proof of delivery
- Negotiating rates and service agreements with logistics providers, where applicable
Skills/Qualifications:
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in customs brokerage or trade compliance highly desirable
- You must have proven experience with Harmonized System (HS) classification and customs declaration processes along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in customs classification, import/export operations
- Prior experience with customs software, ERP systems, specifically SAP B1, an advantage

NOTE: You must have the ability to occasionally work outside hours due to time difference i.e. exporting to India, Europe and US. A substantial handover will be provided.
