We're looking for a strategic asset management leader to help shape Whyalla's infrastructure investment during a once-in-a-generation transformation.
About the role
Reporting to the GM Infrastructure, this critical role oversees the lifecycle planning of Whyalla's community assets-roads, buildings, drainage, parks, and more. You'll drive best practice asset management, integrate masterplans into long-term capital works, and manage data-driven condition assessments to ensure safe, sustainable and cost-effective public infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading asset management strategy, systems and policy
* Developing rolling 10-year capital works and renewal plans
* Overseeing condition assessments, lifecycle modelling and asset valuations
* Providing technical leadership on statutory approvals (e.g. NHVR, s221)
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to shape Whyalla's infrastructure legacy
About you
You're a qualified civil/asset management professional with:
* Proven leadership in local government asset management
* Deep knowledge of infrastructure planning, modelling and project delivery
* Strong financial acumen and systems capability
* A collaborative mindset and ability to lead change
