We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager in Canberra to work on Joint projects
.
What You'll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:
* Contract & Procurement Lifecycle Management
: Coordinate commercial services including contract development, execution, variations, and procurement strategies aligned with SOW.
* Commercial Artefact & Documentation Development
: Prepare request and approval packs, tender evaluation plans, negotiation directives, and sustainment support artefacts.
* Service Request & Change Proposal Management
: Oversee submission of Survey & Quote requests and support development of Contract Change Proposals.
* Commercial Advice & Risk Oversight
: Provide guidance on CASG policy, identify and manage commercial risks, and support supplier performance and compliance reviews.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Coordination
: Liaise with procurement, legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure integrated delivery of commercial services.
What You'll Bring
* End-to-End Procurement & Contract Management
: Proven experience in developing, executing, and managing contracts, including ASDEFCON-based procurement strategies, tender evaluations, and contract variations.
* Commercial Artefact & Documentation Expertise
: Skilled in preparing request and approval documents, negotiation directives, liability risk assessments, and other procurement artefacts.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
: Strong ability to liaise with legal, finance, engineering, and project teams, and serve as a key contact for enabling functions.
* Commercial Risk & Policy Interpretation
: Ability to identify and manage commercial risks, interpret CASG policies, and ensure compliance with Defence procurement frameworks and ANAO recommendations.
* Supplier Performance & Compliance Oversight
: Experience supporting supplier reviews, including AIC and WHS compliance, and contributing to performance management frameworks and audit readiness.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum
Negative Vetting 1
or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
