About The Role:
We're looking for a seasoned and technically sharp
CRM & Marketing Automation Lead
with deep experience in CRM and marketing automation implementation, custom integrations, web development and leading delivery across enterprise systems. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, leading high-performing teams, and delivering smart, scalable solutions that connect Websites, Landing Pages, MAPs, CRMs, CDPs, SMSs, ERPs, and everything in between.
In this role, you'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of developers, consultants, and marketing specialists scoping and designing solutions that bring systems together, enable data-driven strategies, and improve business performance. You'll be a go-to resource for technical leadership, client engagement, and architecture design for some of the most exciting businesses in Australia and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead solution design and technical delivery for CRM and marketing automation implementations (primarily HubSpot and Salesforce).
* Architect integration solutions between CRM/marketing platforms and back-end systems (ERP, finance, project management, custom apps).
* Own scoping, estimations, and solution delivery across a wide range of CRM implementation and integration projects.
* Lead, mentor and review technical specialists (internal and external), providing technical guidance and ensuring successful delivery.
* Conduct discovery sessions, technical audits, workshops, and training sessions with clients and internal stakeholders.
* Define data architecture, field mapping, and integration logic across customer lifecycle touch points.
* Design and implement API connections and custom integrations using SQL, Postman, Python/JavaScript, and middleware (e.g., Zapier, Make, Workato).
* Work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, Developers, and Account Managers to align business requirements with system capabilities.
* Lead Quality Assurance and UAT of technical integration projects, ensuring data integrity and performance benchmarks are met.
* Project manage tasks and briefing within Asana to successfully deliver projects to scope requirements.
* Stay current with emerging tech and best practices across CRM, CDP, marketing automation, and enterprise integration.
Skills & Experience Required:
* 6+ years' of experience in CRM implementation with integration experience; agency, consultancy, or in-house.
* Expert-level understanding of HubSpot, Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud), Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other enterprise MAP and CRM platforms.
* Proven ability to design, build, and manage API-based integrations between CRMs and systems like ERP, finance tools, CDPs, student management systems and other custom data sources.
* Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SQL, Zapier, Make, Workato, and custom connector frameworks.
* Coding experience in languages such as JavaScript or Python (Apex for Salesforce a strong bonus).
* Strong data architecture skills including customer journey mapping, CDP strategy, and lifecycle integration planning.
* Exceptional ability to simplify complex tech problems and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to lead and deliver projects autonomously with minimal oversight managing scope, budget, and expectations end-to-end, while briefing out work to others.
* Experience working in fast-paced environments, juggling multiple projects and timelines.

Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
* Extensive CRM platform experience (i.e. HubSpot, Salesforce, and D365 a bonus).
* Demonstrated success leading multi-system CRM implementation projects with measurable outcomes.
* Agency experience preferred, or managed services or consultancy experience, highly desirable.
