Who we’re looking for
We have an opportunity to work within a Queensland Government Department for paralegals with experience in commercial and property matters. You’ll assist with paralegal and general administrative support, including drafting, preparing and collating correspondence, legal and confidential documents, legal templates and fact sheets. You will assist lawyers with complex commercial property matters; conduct property searches; monitor and record key dates of contracts; prepare Titles Office documents; liaise with external stakeholders; and handle client inquiries.
Responsibilities
Provide paralegal and general administrative support
Draft, prepare and collate correspondence, legal and confidential documents, templates and fact sheets
Assist lawyers with complex commercial property matters
Conduct property searches and monitor key dates of contracts
Prepare Titles Office documents
Liaise with external stakeholders and handle client inquiries
About you / Qualifications
To be suitable for this prospect, you should:
Ideally have at least 1 year of experience as a Paralegal in commercial and/or property matters within a law firm or government department (or be a highly experienced legal assistant seeking to broaden skills)
Have exceptional attention to detail
Be able to manage work autonomously to meet timeframes
Have strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills, and a solid work ethic
Be available to work full-time; part-time may be considered
