The Bureau's Flood Warning Infrastructure Network (FWIN) Program is leading a $230 million Australian Government initiative to improve flood warning infrastructure in Australia's highest flood risk areas over 10 years. This will be done through the acquisition, upgrade and integration of existing local government-owned, and some state government-owned rain and river level flood gauges into the Bureau's flood warning network across Australia.
In support of the FWIN project FWIN is seeking a Flood Warning Network Data Administrator who will undertake a key role in the quality management of the Bureau's flood data, in support of critical flood warning services and network management. They will work across various business areas within the Bureau to coordinate processes across the flood data value chain to support fit for purpose flood data and metadata for the FWIN program.
