Job Description:
This role involves leading a team of contractors across various projects, ensuring project safety and technical specifications are met.
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee the coordination of multiple projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate project work and ensure effective resource allocation
* Manage sub-contractors to program, focusing on quality, cost, and time constraints
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, registers, and risk assessments
* Maintain stakeholder communications and expectations, providing regular updates and addressing concerns
* Support development of scope of works for design and construction tender documents, ensuring accuracy and clarity
* Review and sign off on quality, testing, and compliance requirements, upholding industry standards
* Identify and mitigate risks within the project lifecycle, implementing proactive measures to minimize downtime
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Prior experience in construction management or a related field, preferably in infrastructure construction
* Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and open communication
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret engineering plans and drawings
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Project
* Adequate knowledge of QBCC regulations and licensing requirements
About You:
* Ideal candidate will have a Carpentry background, but equivalent experience in a similar trade will be considered
* Willingness to obtain a QBCC license, demonstrating commitment to industry standards
* Proven track record of successful project delivery, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and budget control
