Position Overview: Reporting to the Principal Engineer, the Senior Electrical Engineer has advanced design and delivery expertise in electrical engineering.
The role is responsible and accountable for successfully and competently delivering complex engineering solutions for projects within requirements, schedule, and budget in their area(s) of expertise.
Using their experience and technical knowledge, they are responsible for the successful delivery of professional engineering services in multiple areas of engineering competency across concurrent projects.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will be confident in liaising directly with clients in developing and refining scopes of work as needed.
They will provide mentoring and leadership and could lead a technical team.
Based on the role, this may also include leading other extended teams to achieve non-technical project outcomes.
This includes taking accountability for the team's performance in achieving schedule, quality, and budget targets.
Furthermore, Senior Electrical Engineers are accountable to the Principal Engineer and or Project Manager for the preparation and production of electrical designs to meet project requirements, specifications, budgets, and timeframes.
Successful candidates will have: Electrical Engineering degree qualification with five plus years of proven experience within automation, Defence, energy, utilities or manufacturing sectors.
Eligible for state-based engineering registration in the area of Electrical Engineering.
Verifiable knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
Verifiable design management or leadership experience.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with key stakeholders at all levels.
