Despatcher – Permanent Part Time (experience not essential)
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated person to work with our Moonah warehouse team in the role of afternoon Despatch with some Saturday morning work as required.
The Despatcher is a key hands on role within our organisation and is responsible for the control of order assembly and physical staging management of customer orders for delivery drivers to load into their vehicle. The incumbent’s role covers the following duties:
· Control the releasing of orders for assembly.
· Assembly of orders.
· Physically place the orders from the Assembly line into the Delivery Staging Area.
· Direct staff in the assembly of orders or other activities as required.
· Work closely in line with our approved Work Instructions and processes.
· Ensure that delivery runs are prepared on time for departure.
· Liaise with contract delivery drivers for a timely despatch of orders.
· Liaise with Customer Service for Urgent orders.
Previous warehouse experience is not mandatory, but commitment to work and attitude is. The role demands a highly organised individual who can manage time to ensure customer satisfaction. Working with a small team of people, you will bring or gain a solid understanding of all areas including computer systems, picking, replenishment, despatch and basic inventory management. A proactive ‘anything is possible’ attitude is a must. You will thrive in a KPI environment and value the benefit in providing service excellence.
The hours of work will be Monday 1:00pm – 5:00 pm, Tuesday to Friday 12:00pm to 4:00pm and Saturday as required, 6:00am to 10:00am. Extra hours during the week may optionally be available at times.

Computer literacy in MS Outlook and an understanding of warehousing applications.
A forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
