Overview

We are seeking Clinical Psychologists to join the Department Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology based at Perth Children's Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing paediatric healthcare service while developing your practice within a dynamic setting.

Reporting to the Head of the Department, you will develop integrated care plans, deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care, assess, provide intervention, and consult on a diverse range of paediatric inpatient and outpatient cases to support the well-being of the child and their family.

Current vacancies

* Healthy Weight Service – this is a permanent part time (0.5 FTE) position, with days on Wednesdays and Thursdays according to clinic hours. The other half day is flexible.

Key responsibilities

* Working collaboratively within multidisciplinary team (MDT) settings across various departments.
* Developing and adapting care plans for children with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and complex medical needs under the primary care of paediatricians or surgeons.
* Actively participating in departmental meetings, case presentations, conferences, research, benchmarking, education, and development activities to enhance service delivery and contribute to the broader field of rehabilitation psychology.
* Providing mentorship, supervision, and training to junior staff and contributing to professional development within the department and broader clinical community.
* Developing intervention and group programs within the psychology team.
* Liaising with community agencies and contributing to mapping and analysis of caseloads, referrals, and service demands to inform future staffing and departmental growth.

Qualifications and selection criteria

* Masters or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and eligibility for full registration and Clinical Psychology Registrar status with the Psychology Board of Australia is a requirement.
* Prior experience in a tertiary setting is desirable. Relevant experience with children and families is highly regarded; applicants with relevant experience in adult care will be supported to translate knowledge to a paediatric setting.

How to apply

Applicants are encouraged to apply online (www.jobs.health.wa.gov.au). You must have a current, valid email address for online communication.

* Current resume summarising experience and how you meet the position requirements.
* Response to the selection criteria listed in the attached job description (2–3 pages maximum).
* Names, emails, and contact details of two referees who can provide a confidential report (we will seek your confirmation before contacting referees).
