We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee site and yard operations within our Dandenong branch. This role is responsible for ensuring construction and yard activities are aligned with business objectives, HSEQ requirements and contractual specifications, while consistently delivering high-quality outcomes that meet customer expectations.
This is a hands‐on leadership position suited to someone who understands construction from the ground up and can confidently lead teams, subcontractors and suppliers in a fast‐paced environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading all site and yard operations in Dandenong
* Leading and developing supervisory and operational teams across site and yard functions
* Taking responsibility for a substantial asset fleet, driving quality control and operational performance
* Coordinating civil works, foundations and services prior to building installation
* Ensuring trades including plumbers and electricians are aligned and working cohesively
* Overseeing operational pricing, bidding, execution and project tracking
* Identifying project risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
* Ensuring construction works are completed in accordance with contractual and compliance requirements
* Driving HSEQ compliance and leading safety culture by example
* Building and maintaining strong client, supplier and subcontractor relationships
* Supporting tender input and negotiations for large projects
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience as a builder, senior trade professional or Construction Manager
* Strong understanding of civil works, foundations and service coordination
* Demonstrated experience managing site and yard-based teams
* Strong knowledge of the National Construction Code and building compliance requirements
* Experience working within Tier 1 safety expectations and methodologies
* Excellent leadership, communication and decision‐making skills
* Strong organisational and time management capabilities
* A Diploma in Building or Construction is highly regarded
