Position: Senior Accountant
Analyse financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities for the Firm's clients.
Prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed;
Apply knowledge of the business environment within which the client operates and how the client is positioned in the industry;
Assist graduates with work and act as a mentor/buddy;
Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards;
Prepare documents for client meetings with the Partner;
Help identify, research, and resolve complex accounting issues;
Prepare and analyze management accounting reports;
Prepare income tax returns;
Provide advice on various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax, and fringe benefits tax;
Provide general business advisory support to a wide range of client groups.
