Company Description
An opportunity to lead a team and shape the culture of a brand new practice! Greencross Vets Warners Bay is the perfect practice for a veterinarian with existing or emerging leadership experience to join our team of positive and outgoing nurses to help us provide top-tier veterinary care to our long-standing clients of the Lake Macquarie area.
Set around the shore of Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake, Warners Bay is a hub for water sports and outdoor activities, with plenty of restaurants and cafes to keep you entertained in your down time.
There is no on call or after hours with the support from our local emergency and referral hospital being just 15 minutes away. Built in 2023, our clinic boasts all the toys and gadgets you’ll need to offer the highest of standards in medicine and surgery in a purpose-built facility with free and plentiful parking. We are also thrilled to provide access to the Lincoln Learning Institute's Leading Edge for Veterinarians to our successful candidate! This highly regarded, 52-week course will set you up for leadership excellence.
Job Description
This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with at least 4 years post-graduation experience, who has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and proven management skills, a desire to nurture the development of junior vets and nurses if required, and is comfortable consulting, diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy.
Leadership doesn’t have to be all consuming, so you’ll design your roster to offer a balance to your work and personal needs. You’ll also have an experienced Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help support the management, clinical standards and financial elements of your role. That’s the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network - you’re not in this alone!
Qualifications
To be considered for this role you must hold a Veterinary degree from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards’ Council (AVBC) and/or have completed NAVLE, AVE or alike examinations, and at all times be committed to delivering fear-free, compassionate and industry leading health care and advice to our patients and their loving families.
