Enhance Community Mental Health Care as a Senior Clinician
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to join our team as a Senior Clinician in community-based mental health care. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside police services to provide timely and effective support to individuals and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide in-person and telehealth assessments and interventions to individuals and families in need
* Support police services in Warrnambool, Portland, Hamilton, Camperdown, and surrounding areas with mental health-related matters
* Deliver brief, trauma-informed interventions in community settings
* Assist with direct admissions to mental health beds where necessary
* Provide training and education to build cross-sector understanding and capacity
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* A relevant degree in psychology, nursing, or allied health
* Extensive experience in mental health service provision (5-8+ years depending on discipline)
* Expertise in community-based psychiatric triage, assessment, treatment, and support
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
