About the role
The Facilities and Safety Manager is a key role within a pilot program designed to test new operating models that reduce workload for site leaders in small schools and preschools. Reporting centrally, the role will partner with a group of site leaders in the Adelaide Hills region to identify facilities and safety tasks and projects that can be transferred from site leaders.
The Facilities and Safety Manager will deliver these tasks throughout the pilot, establish and document improved processes, and support evidence-based decision making through regular monitoring, evaluation and reporting. The role will work closely with site leaders, Education Directors, Local Education Team staff and relevant central divisions to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations and provide specialist oversight of minor and major works and Work Health and Safety initiatives across participating sites.
Qualifications
Essential: Nil
Desirable: Relevant appropriate tertiary qualifications or extensive knowledge and experience in facilities and asset management/maintenance, or work health and safety fields.
Special conditions
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry.
The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration
ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) and leave loading.

Additional note
