The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join PEHA\'s leadership team in a newly created, highly autonomous role focused on growing patient referrals across our existing national ED network.

As Referrer Engagement Manager, you will be the face of PEHA in the field. This is an execution-focused business development role where your success is measured by real, tangible growth with more patients being seen, more referral pathways activated, and stronger relationships built with the right people in the right communities.

You will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with our site-based Practice Managers and Site Directors across the country.

What You Will Be Doing

Your focus will be on growing referrals at existing PEHA sites through hands-on, relationship-based business development. Specifically, you will:

* Spend a minimum of 50% of your time in the field, building and managing relationships across GP practices, urgent care centres, ambulance services, employers, Defence and DVA networks, and large community and tourism organisations
* Develop and formalise Workplace Injury Management SLAs with employers, maintain quarterly contact cadence, and track injury management presentation growth
* Establish and manage GP and specialist referral relationships across all sites, with a focus on measurable referral volume growth
* Map and profile local urgent care centres by site to identify diversion and referral opportunities, and develop strategies to reduce avoidable presentation loss
* Activate and track Defence and DVA presentation pathways
* Plan and execute GP education dinners, employer events, and injury management forums
* Coach and develop Practice Managers to independently own stakeholder relationships at the site level
* Maintain a structured stakeholder database, engagement logs, and monthly KPI reporting
* Develop and maintain relationships with hospital stakeholders
* Monitor local competitive dynamics and incorporate market intelligence into site-specific action plans

What We Are Looking For

You are a natural relationship builder who is equally comfortable pitching to a GP principal partner, negotiating a WorkCover SLA with an employer, and coaching a Practice Manager through their first stakeholder conversation. You are organised, accountable, and comfortable working autonomously across a national portfolio.

You will bring:

* 3 to 5 years of experience in referrer engagement, business development, account management, or a similar field-based role
* Experience in healthcare is preferred; pharmaceutical or injury management sales experience would be well-regarded
* A genuine understanding of healthcare financing streams and the ability to navigate clinical environments with credibility
* Demonstrated ability to manage and report against KPIs and performance metrics
* Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing others
* A bachelor\'s degree in business, management, marketing, health services, or a related field
* A valid driver\'s licence and the flexibility to travel nationally for more than 50% of your time
