Brookfield Gardens, located in Brookfield, Brisbane, is a family owned and operated garden centre seeking to expand its team. We are in search of new team members to join us as a horticulturist and nursery hand. These roles offer a diverse range of duties in a lovely working environment.
Horticulturist
Qualities and responsibilities:
* Qualified tradesperson with experience and passion in all aspects of Horticulture
* Demonstrated Horticulture experience and willing to work in an outdoor environment
* Excellent customer service
* Selecting plants that fit the desired aesthetic and environmental conditions for our customers
* A passion for designing and planning gardens, landscapes, and green spaces
* Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative and self-motivation
* The ability to identify and diagnose plant pests and disease, then recommending appropriate treatments
* Chemcert advantageous
This is a casual position with the potential to go to permanent part-time or full-time in the future. Workdays could be scheduled between Monday to Sunday 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must be available weekends.
