Production Assistant – Forklift Operator
Bodiam warehouses, processes, and markets cereal hay and straw for export to Asia and other destinations.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team. This position involves working across rotational rosters, including weekends, nights, and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Operation of forklifts
* Assist with the operation of the hay press
* Cleaning
* Minor mechanical repairs
* Operation of strapping and wrapping machines
Location & Compensation
Located in Northam. Competitive hourly rate. Onsite training and support. Employee Assistance Program. Working with a friendly team / family-owned business.
Qualifications
* Current White Card
* Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
* A high level of attention to detail
* Willful to undertake a pre‐employment medical, including regular drug and alcohol screening
Additional Requirements
* This role deals directly with hay and straw and may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma, or other respiratory conditions.
* Due to fatigue management monitoring, only applicants that reside within approximately 40 minutes of Northam will be considered for this role. No accommodation is provided.
