About the role

We are looking for a Museum and Archives Coordinator who will safeguard the rich history of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society ('Society') by preserving documents and artefacts, ensuring new acquisitions are accurately recorded and bringing the story of the Society, Royal Adelaide Show and Adelaide Showground to life through displays, tours, publications and digital content.

What you'll be doing

* Assess, catalogue, and maintain records, artefacts, and corporate archives in line with legislative requirements.
* Conduct research for Society councillors, staff, and the public, and provide expert knowledge on Society history.
* Curate and deliver museum exhibitions, displays, and guided tours across the Museum, Archives, and Showground.
* Manage and supervise volunteers and staff, ensuring high standards of customer service and engagement with donors.
* Monitor grant opportunities, prepare applications, and support Archives Foundation fundraising, events, and communications.
* Liaise with Marketing and media teams to develop content for publications, websites, and other channels.
* Ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of all Society information and collections.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

* Tertiary qualification in Information Management, Information Science, or a related discipline.
* Knowledge and practical understanding of heritage material acquisition, description, preservation, and storage, including copyright requirements.
* Experience in museum, archives, or library environments; familiarity with MOSAiC or AM Quartex platforms is highly regarded.
* Proven skills in public speaking, media engagement, and delivering tours or presentations.
* A current Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required, or the ability to obtain one before commencement.
