Job Title: Heavy Lift Operations Coordinator
The role will play a crucial part in ensuring our Heavy Lift operations run smoothly, safely and correctly across the Project.
Working closely with the Superintendent - Crane & Rigging, as well as multiple Package Manager's to ensure we are able to lift some of the worlds largest equipment for a State of the Art and brand new Gold Processing Plant.
About the Role:
* Liaise with procurement personnel for all necessary material and consumable requirements.
* Read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, schematics, and any other engineering documentation and/or reports.
* Plan, schedule, conduct, and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
* Supervise and coordinate structural, mechanical, and piping installation activities to meet project targets.
* Evaluate and improve the safety performance and quality outcomes of teams on site.
* Lead daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks to maintain team engagement and safety focus.
* Monitor workforce performance and provide coaching and support to ensure productivity and quality outcomes.
* Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve construction challenges and maintain project momentum.
* Conduct inspections to verify that works are completed to design and specification before handover.
What We're Looking For:
* A strong track record of experience in heavy lift operations or a related field.
* Ability to read and interpret design drawings, schematics and other engineering drawings.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage performance effectively.
* Strong understanding of SMP construction methodologies and industry best practices.
* Solid knowledge of safety systems, permit to work processes, and risk assessments on large projects.
* Competency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office suite.
