Join the marketing team behind some of the Far North Queensland's most exciting arts and cultural experiences. The Marketing Team at Creative Life, Cairns Regional Council, is seeking a passionate and creative Marketing & Communications Officer to help bring our stories to life.
In this role you will initially focus on events at Cairns Performing Arts Centre and Munro Martin Parklands. From major touring music acts, state theatre productions to beloved local programs and touring productions, you will help connect audiences with unforgettable experiences across Cairns' vibrant cultural venues. Working within a collaborative marketing team that also supports Tanks Arts Centre, Cairns Festival, Cairns Children's Festival, Understory Film Festival, grants and creative industry development programs, you will also contribute to promoting the many initiatives that enrich the cultural life of the Cairns region. Your work will help showcase world class performances while celebrating the unique spirit of our tropical city.
About the role
In this dynamic role you will contribute to the marketing and communications for a diverse program of events, with a focus on music, theatre and the performing arts. You will help deliver campaigns that inspire audiences to discover, attend and share live arts experiences. You will work across digital, social and media channels to promote performances, grow audiences and support the broader Creative Life program. This is a unique opportunity to promote the performing arts in one of Australia's most spectacular regions. You will work with passionate colleagues, support inspiring artists and play a part in delivering memorable experiences for audiences across the community.
About you
You are a creative communicator with a passion for the arts and a talent for connecting people with experiences. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive seeing campaigns come together from concept to opening night. You are also confident working with data, using reporting and audience insights to understand what works and to continually improve campaign performance.
You'll bring:
