About the role
As Assistant Centre Manager, you'll be a true leadership partner to the Centre Manager, playing a hands-on role in leading the service while being supported by a strong, well-resourced leadership structure.
You'll work within an enhanced leadership model, which includes:
Centre Manager
Assistant Centre Manager (you!)
Two Educational Leaders
Dedicated Admin support
This structure means less operational overload and more time to lead with purpose and presence.
In this role, you will:
Partner closely with the Centre Manager to lead daily operations and team culture
Support, mentor and inspire educators alongside two Educational Leaders
Embed quality practice, consistency and continuous improvement across the service
Build strong relationships with families and the local community
Step confidently into senior leadership without feeling stretched or isolated
You'll also benefit from being part of a broader leadership community, with a nearby sister service providing connection, collaboration and support.
About you
This role is ideal for an experienced educator or leader who is ready to step into senior leadership with genuine structure, balance and support around them.
You'll bring:
A Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education
Previous leadership experience (e.g. 2IC, Educational Leader, Acting CM or similar)
A people-first leadership style grounded in trust, respect and collaboration
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and regulatory requirements
Confidence supporting teams while maintaining warmth, approachability and calm
A commitment to child safety, wellbeing and inclusive practice
