About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Boilermaker to join our team at the Beef City Feedlot in a full-time capacity.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is an integral part of a small, dedicated team responsible for the fabrication, repair and maintenance of feedlot and farm infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about contributing to the smooth operation of agricultural facilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Reading and interpreting drawings
* Fabrication, installation and repairs to machinery and infrastructure to a high standard
* Cutting, shaping and joining metal components using welding, brazing and other metal working techniques
* Ensuring finished products meet specifications
* Collaborating with the supervisor to optimize workflows and troubleshoot issues
* Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements
About You
* Relevant Trade qualification in boilermaking/welding
* Demonstrated proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG and stick welding
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to deliver high quality work
* Good communication and team work skills
* Ability to work safely and adhere to all relevant health and safety requirements
