About the role:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing plant machinery to support smooth, safe, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include:
* Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
* Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with Baiada's standards and systems
* Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, and other supervisors and leading hands
* Carrying out maintenance work in line with Baiada's operational and compliance requirements
About You:
Proactive, trade-qualified professional with a hands-on approach and strong teamwork ethic. To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A trade qualification as an Electrician (required) along with experience working in a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the intensive food processing industry
* Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
* A desire for long-term career development
* Full Australian working rights (citizenship or permanent residency)
You'll also bring a mechanical mindset, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to work across rotating shifts—including weekends and public holidays.
Benefits to you:
* $47.10 per hour + weekend penalties & allowances
* 12 hour shifts - 4 days on 4 days off
* Opportunity for permanency following successful probation
