About Us
Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

The College exists to inform and enrich the Victorian judiciary. Everything we do, whether in-person or online, is designed to impart deep knowledge and insight. We support judges, magistrates, coroners and tribunal members to develop the skills they need to perform at their best.
About the Role
Offered on a fixed term full time-basis until 26 February 2027 and working within assigned priority areas, the Judicial Education Lead (the Lead) is a committed professional within the College's Judicial Education Team (the Team). The people in the Team are at the heart of delivering on the College's purpose – namely ‘for an ever-informed and engaged judiciary'. They develop and implement the College's suite of judicial education for Victorian judicial officers, as well as priority education initiatives and projects.
The Lead designs, develops and delivers high quality educational content for Victorian judicial officers in a range of formats and mediums. Drawing on an understanding of adult learning principles, particularly in their application for expert audiences, the Lead understands the context for judicial education and applies this to the identification and selection of relevant expertise, as well as the development variously of learning outcomes, interactive material, role plays and scenarios.
Key accountabilities include:
* Leading the design, content development and delivery of judicial education in priority areas.
* Applying expertise to the research, development and writing of educational content suitable for judicial audiences in a range of formats (including online, digital and in-person).
* Identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage content to deliver enduring, practical resources for judicial officers.
* Proactively keeping abreast of relevant developments and trends in the law and judicial education.
* Working collaboratively with all College teams to ensure education content and products are delivered in the most appropriate format, consistent with the College's content strategy and brand.
* Producing high quality project documentation including plans, timelines, briefings and budgets.
* Building effective strategic relationships with members of the judiciary and other senior stakeholders.
About You
You bring a strong background in the law or legal practice, education and/or the courts environment, with practical experience that enables you to understand judicial work and decision-making in context. You have advanced legal research and written communication skills, with demonstrated expertise in producing clear content for expert audiences.
A skilled communicator, you have the proven ability to build effective professional relationships and influence others. You work well in a small, professional team where projects are shaped collaboratively, while also being self-driven and comfortable working autonomously. You set high standards for your work, and you are organised, intellectually curious, resourceful, and details focused.
Drawing on an understanding of adult learning principles, you are able to work across diverse areas of law and practice, partnering with subject matter experts to design and refine educational content that aligns with the desired learning outcomes and meets the expectations of an expert judicial audience.
You understand the challenges facing the Victorian judiciary and remain actively engaged with developments in the law, professional skills, social context and broader issues relevant to courts and tribunals. You have an awareness of and interest in Victoria's First Peoples and issues impacting their interaction with the Victorian justice system.
