Purpose
Reporting to the Development Supervisor, as the Bogger Operator, you'll play a key role in keeping development activities moving by safely and efficiently loading and transferring blasted material to trucks or stockpiles. Working closely with the Mine Controller, you'll help meet daily targets while ensuring accurate activity logging and adherence to site plans. You'll operate equipment in line with Newmont's standards, perform visual inspections of your work area, and report defects promptly.
Responsibilities
* Operate Load Haul Dump (Bogger) equipment in an underground environment.
* Ensure safe and efficient loading, hauling and dumping of ore and waste.
* Conduct pre‐start checks and basic machine troubleshooting.
* Identify and report hazards, defects and safety concerns.
* Work closely with supervisors and mining crews to meet production targets.
* Maintain compliance with Newmont safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications
* Proven experience operating underground boggers.
* Solid understanding of underground mining operations.
* Strong focus on safety and operational discipline.
* Clear and effective communicator.
* Current Australian Driver's Licence.
* Team player with a track record of supporting collective outcomes.
* Mask fit‐ready to meet underground compliance standard.
Work Environment
Working a 7 days 7 nights | 2 weeks roster rotation and residing in our fully equipped accommodation village.
